The song is as confusing as the titles. What we know is Ugandans are synonymous with drama. So here is the tea, Sheebah, our very own Rihanna supposed to be in retirement, and Ava Peace, her supposed successor or as some call her, “the upcoming Sheebah’, have released what appears to be the same song, just with different titles and a few minor edits. Now, for us who went to traditional schools, this situation screams “formation”. For context to the older generation, formation is when the bwat sits in a central location during exams and whispers answers. But he always warns, “Don’t copy word for word, just get the idea.” Munange, this is that scenario.
Someone forgot the memo. Instead of paraphrasing, they pasted the whole verse. Well, I was not there when the song was born, so I do not know who owns what. What I know is someone used the paraphrase command wrongly on their ChatGPT. And to make matters worse, the song is not even all that. It is giving mid. The drama is more fire than the actual track. Meanwhile, wasn’t Queen Karma supposed to be “retiring”? You did not even give us chance to miss you. One minute you are dropping farewell speeches, next minute you are back on stage. Hmmm. Maybe she should have just said she was taking maternity leave. Anyway, I digress! May the best version of that song win.
