Ngoni duo Aydee and Pato’s contribution to Uganda’s entertainment industry goes beyond singing. The two mentored so many artists as well, producing some of Uganda’s greatest hits.
Aydee has come out and explained some of the background work of Bigula, one of their best projects as a duo.
According to Aydee, it has been nine years since the song was released.
But different from other projects, there were no lyrics written but just a freestyle beatmaking session.
“Probably one of the only beats I made without a pre-auditioned melody,” Aydee posted.
He adds that the video features celebrities like Michael Ross and Desire as the Vixen on the guitar and was shot over two rainy days yet the venue was a little forest just after Ssese gateway.
“I have a very misty memory of what happened on the 2nd shoot day. I was shouting instructions that were influenced by lack of budgets, and disappointed that we had to roll into a 2nd evening
The other point to note is that all Ngoni videos were self- sponsored, with their collaborators like Dedac, and all other production houses, being a vision-sharing gig. They only facilitated working expenses.
