Grammy Award-winning saxophonist and composer Kenny G will perform in Uganda for the very first time this Sunday at Mestil Gardens, in a one-night-only concert that promises to be a landmark celebration of timeless music.
Organised by Malembe Lifestyle, the show brings to Uganda one of the world’s most iconic instrumentalists, whose music has for decades defined moments of love, elegance, and celebration.
From classics like Silhouette, Loving You, Songbird, and Forever in Love to his unforgettable rendition of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On, Kenny G’s artistry has been a staple at weddings and intimate gatherings across Kampala, even before his first step onto a Ugandan stage.
With more than 75 million albums sold worldwide, Kenny G remains the best-selling instrumentalist of all time, his mastery of the soprano saxophone having earned him global acclaim as one of the most respected jazz musicians in history.
His Ugandan debut follows a surprise performance alongside pop star Doja Cat at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month, adding to an enduring cultural influence that has seen him cameo in Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night video and collaborate with Kanye West on the Grammy-nominated gospel anthem Use This Gospel.
