For three days, fans and associates of singer Alien Skin were left in suspense over his whereabouts, sparking speculation that he was in police custody. His team even showed up at Makindye Court yesterday, hoping to find him among those produced for hearing, but he was not on the list.
It has since emerged that the musician, real name Patrick Mulwana, voluntarily reported to the authorities and recorded a statement regarding the death of Wilfred Namuwaya, popularly known as Top Dancer, a former member of Fangone Forest. Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed the development, noting that Alien Skin was briefly detained at Katwe Police Station.
“Alien Skin has been arrested today, October 1, 2025, in connection with the death of Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer. He is currently at Katwe Police where his statement is being recorded,” Onyango said at the time.
However, contrary to reports that he remained in detention, sources close to the singer say he was released shortly after giving his statement.
Alfa Timez, a presenter at NBS TV and a close associate of the artist, assured fans that Alien Skin is safe and at home. “Contrary to the rumors, Alien Skin has been confirmed safe and secure at his Fangone Forest home. He remains active there and is cooperating fully as needed,” Alfa tweeted.
