If sophistication, soulful music, and fine dining are your language, then Dim The Lights’ Vintage & NuBeats Druncheon was the kind of brunch you would never want to miss. This October edition, powered by the world’s leading single malt whisky — The Singleton — turned the Naalya-based restaurant into a playground of taste, rhythm, and class.
From the moment guests walked in, it was clear this was more than a brunch. It was a full sensory experience — a curated symphony of whisky, gastronomy, and music. The air was rich with laughter, conversation, and the smooth hum of good energy.
The culinary spread was a love letter to luxury itself. Picture Caesar beef and fruit salad, Mexican rice, grilled seasoned vegetables, baked eggs and shawarma, potato-and-cheese pie, beef goulash, grilled chicken, and sticky pork ribs — all perfectly paired with The Singleton’s signature single malt cocktails. Each course felt like a passport stamp to a new destination of flavour.
To crown it all, the dessert table was pure bliss — chocolate and orange cakes, alongside ice creams in both classic and playful flavours like vanilla and Oreo. It was the kind of sweetness that ties up a perfect day.
“The Singleton’s partnership with Dim The Lights is a perfect opportunity to elevate our consumers’ gastronomy experience,” said Simon Lapyem, Brand Manager for The Singleton. “The Vintage and Nu Beats Druncheon is a great outing for those that enjoy smooth vibes and memorable moments with friends and family.”
Valentine Kaduka, Manager at Dim The Lights, echoed the sentiment: “Whisky and food are always a chef’s kiss. Together with The Singleton, we wanted to give people something to savour and remember.”
As the drinks flowed and plates emptied, DJs Gilbert and Kenny took the decks and turned the restaurant into a sonic universe — fusing 90s RnB, vintage grooves, dancehall anthems, and fresh New Skool beats. Guests couldn’t resist moving to the rhythm; some danced, others simply vibed — but everyone was clearly lost in the moment.
The October Vintage & NuBeats Druncheon brought together friends, families, and lovers who laughed, sipped, and swayed through the afternoon — a celebration of flavour, music, and the art of fine living. With The Singleton and Dim The Lights curating such magic, guests left with one question on their minds: when’s the next edition?
