Halloween night at Somewhere Else in Naguru was anything but ordinary, as the “Rave to the Grave” party turned into a spine-chilling spectacle of creativity, music, and bold self-expression.
Guests walked into a graveyard-inspired setup that immediately set the tone for an immersive experience. Gothic décor, dim lighting, and hauntingly artistic details transformed the venue into a dark fantasy world, with cloudy skies adding just the right moody touch—minus the rain.
From spooky face art to head-turning costumes, creativity took center stage. Partygoers embraced the ghost-town theme to the fullest, showing up in gothic ensembles, witchy-chic dresses, and dramatic face paint that perfectly captured the Halloween spirit.
Speaking at the event, Zawedde Patricia, Digital Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, described the celebration as a reflection of the bold, expressive ethos of the Smirnoff brand.
“Smirnoff is a trendsetter, and this event alludes to that,” she said. “Through our We Do We campaign, we’re creating spaces where consumers can embrace their creativity and individuality unapologetically. Smirnoff is all about fun, freedom, and culturally relevant experiences that speak to the uniqueness of our consumers.”
The energy remained high all night with DJs Rocky, Aweko Brain, R3ign Drops, Hibotep, and DJ Faisol delivering flawless sets of RnB, Amapiano, and Afrobeat. Host DJ Salta kept the crowd alive, while Faisol’s seamless mixes ensured the dance floor never emptied.
One of the night’s standout acts was Authentic Voices Africa, whose gothic-inspired performance merged music, theatre, and visual art into a hauntingly beautiful experience. Clad in dark, dramatic costumes, their act drew everyone into the eerie magic of Halloween.
The Artribe collective added a creative twist with live face and body painting, giving guests unique Halloween looks and lasting memories from the night.
By the end of it all, “Rave to the Grave” had proved to be more than a party—it was a statement of creativity, self-expression, and bold celebration. With Smirnoff driving the vibe behind the scenes, the night became a true showcase of what happens when art, music, and fearless energy collide to create something unforgettable.
