Comedian Patrick “Salvador” Idringi has addressed rumors about his health after reports circulated on social media claiming he had been admitted to Nakasero Hospital battling pancreatitis.
The news spread quickly, prompting concern and speculation among fans and critics alike. However, Salvador later clarified that while he had been unwell, he was not admitted to hospital and is now recovering well.
“I was actually not admitted,” he explained. “I was monitored for a few hours and I’m now back home and better.”
The initial post about his health attracted a storm of reactions on social media. While many wished him a quick recovery, others used the moment to criticize his political affiliations and lifestyle.
Some users blamed the comedian’s alleged alcohol consumption for his condition, while others accused him of hypocrisy for seeking treatment at a private hospital despite his perceived support for the government.
One user, identified as Masuhd, went as far as wishing Salvador prolonged pain, writing, “I pray he comes back from there but after a long time of pain and when he’s financially drained. He has been supporting a system that has neglected the health sector for 40 years. Please say Aameen.”

In a calm but pointed response, Salvador replied, “Hey chief, whom do you pray to? May that person heal your heart and grant you wisdom to say a prayer that will actually better your life. I was actually not admitted, I was monitored for a few hours and I’m now back home and better… Hope you are also better. Please say Amen.”

His reply quickly went viral, with many social media users commending him for handling the hate with maturity and grace. Others condemned the harsh comments, reminding people that health issues should never be politicised or mocked.
Another user commented, “On a personal level, quick recovery bro. On a national level, a National Referral Hospital in Ombokoro would have been a better place for your treatment as you protect the gains.”
To which Salvador humorously replied, “Ombokolo is in Congo ? actually it’s ‘Ingbokolo.’”
