Until today, OS Suuna remains the centre of conversation following Bobi Wine’s refusal to shake his hand during Mickie Wine’s concert on Saturday. The moment caught clearly on camera has since fueled waves of online trolling, mockery and harsh commentary directed at the singer.

The drama unfolded when OS, one of the performers of the night, walked over to Bobi Wine’s table mid-performance and extended his hand in greeting. Bobi Wine, the NUP presidential aspirant did not reciprocate. Instead, he offered a brief, strained smile, even as OS sang a line of praise dedicated to him.

As the incident spread across social media, critics piled on. In response, OS went Live on his social platforms to address the situation, making it clear that he harbors no ill feelings toward Bobi Wine.

“I don’t have any problem with Bobi Wine. Everyone has a right to do whatever they like. If that is what he wanted, he had a right to do so. I have no problem with him,” OS said, as Bobi Wine’s song Wendi played in the background.

He also dismissed claims that his live session was an attempt to seek attention.

“It was Mickie Wine’s day, and up to now, I’m the topic. I’m not looking for relevance, I’m already relevant,” he asserted.

This is not the first time OS has faced public embarrassment. Just months ago, he reportedly spent more than two months attempting to secure an appointment with Gen. Salim Saleh in Gulu. Hoping to impress the Operation Wealth Creation chief, he even went to the studio and recorded a praise song for him. However, after performing it, Gen. Saleh dismissed the song as “nonsense and meaningless,” expressing fatigue with artistes altogether.
