Fast-rising star Joshua Baraka is finally bringing the magic home. After staging successful concerts in countries like England and others, the “Cheque” hitmaker is set for his debut Ugandan show, Into the B’raka Land, happening this Saturday at Ndere Centre.
Speaking during a press conference held yesterday at the Talent Africa Rooftop, Baraka promised fans an unforgettable experience.
“I’ve been asked why I’ve been holding concerts abroad and not Uganda, but all I can say is that I had saved the best for last,” he said. “This is going to be my best show ever. I have the music, I have sponsor support, and I have everything needed to make this concert the best. Just turn up in huge numbers and leave the rest to me.”
It was at the same presser that Baraka addressed one of the hottest fan questions—why he didn’t submit any of his songs for the Grammy Awards.
He admitted he had been overwhelmed by the demands of his career this year.
“First, I want to apologise to my fans for letting them down by not submitting any work to the Grammys,” Baraka said. “I was overwhelmed with a number of things. I was working on the album, I had a concert coming up, and I had tours, among other things. But next year, rest assured.”

Aly Alibhai of Talent Africa Group, the event organisers, highlighted the power of collaboration that is making Baraka’s debut possible.
“We are thrilled to have assembled such a strong coalition, and on the 29th, you’re going to be amazed by what we can achieve when Ugandan brands come together to support our superstar, Baraka,” Aly said.
Fans can look forward to a full-scale performance packed with Baraka’s beloved catalogue, plus surprise guest appearances.
