Tension is simmering on the NRM campaign trail as musicians Bebe Cool and Eddy Kenzo find themselves locked in yet another wave of controversy.
For weeks, rumours of a widening rift between the two entertainers have circulated online. Kenzo initially dismissed the chatter as propaganda designed to disrupt the campaign atmosphere. But now, the BET Award winner has stepped forward with new accusations — and they are far from subtle.
Kenzo alleges that individuals attached to Bebe Cool’s camp have been deliberately sabotaging his performances during campaign events.
“Something wrong is happening,” Kenzo said. “There is a lot of elbowing going on. We can’t do anything because when other people go on stage, the sound is okay. But when I step on stage, the microphones are switched off and machines stop working abruptly.”
When asked who he believed was behind the technical disruptions, Kenzo pointed directly at Bebe Cool’s team, claiming internal conflicts within the camp had escalated into targeted, unprofessional behaviour toward him.
He further alleged that journalists aligned with Bebe Cool have been instructed not to record or publicise any of his performances.
“When we come on stage to perform, they get off stage and switch off their machines,” Kenzo added. “They are on order and are on payroll. They were told not to get my content, and it is the same team that keeps talking about me on their different channels.”
Despite the growing tensions, Kenzo insists he will not be distracted. His mission, he says, remains unchanged to campaign for President Museveni and deliver his musical contribution to the trail without fear or hesitation.
