In a light-hearted exchange between celebrity couple Zari Hassan and her husband Shakib Lutaaya, the businesswoman didn’t shy away from claiming full credit for her man’s growing female fan base.
Zari playfully told Shakib that the sudden attention he receives from women has very little to do with him—and everything to do with her presence.
According to the former singer, the moment the two step into a club, she can immediately spot women eyeing Shakib and even turning up the heat on the dance floor.
“Women love you because of me,” she teased. “They keep wondering what I saw in you. Some of them even position themselves when they see me—posing, twerking—right in front of me. They do it while I’m watching.”
She added that some women seem to view Shakib as a challenge, especially with her by his side.
Zari and Shakib, whose relationship became public in 2022 after they were first spotted together in Tanzania, tied the knot in a private Nikah ceremony in South Africa in April 2023. Their wedding later gained continental attention after it featured on Netflix’s hit reality series Young, Famous & African.
