The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) held their official press briefing at Krug, Bugolobi, unveiling a groundbreaking addition to this year’s Honorary Gala. The inaugural Halftime Show, set to debut on December 19, 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
This bold innovation marks a transformative moment in African fashion events, introducing a dedicated mid-show performance segment that has never been attempted at any fashion awards ceremony on the continent.
During the briefing, Barbra Lynda, a partner official, highlighted why the station chose to champion this milestone partnership.
“This is our moment to introduce a new wave to the Honorary Gala and spotlight one African musician on a stage that’s never been created before. Vinka is headlining this historic first because her journey, style, and cultural influence perfectly embody what this moment calls for,” she said.
Lynda added that the Halftime Show will serve as a musical narration, a storytelling experience that reflects who the artists are beyond the stage.
In addition to the much anticipated halftime performance, the ASFAs confirmed a vibrant lineup for the night, including Elijah Kitaka, Kevin Kade (Rwanda), Tyra Chantey (Sweden), Rickman, Karole Kasita, Warafiki, Dance by Valentino, DJ Vee, DJ Harold and more.
ASFAs founder Brian Ahumuza alias Abryanz expressed excitement about the gala’s evolution, noting the significance of the Halftime Show, the heightened guest experience, and the grand return of Africa’s biggest red carpet.
He also reminded attendees that the Honorary Gala remains highly exclusive with only a limited number of tickets available.
Shafik Nekambuza, speaking on behalf of Play It Loud, announced that the streaming platform will officially launch on 10 December 2025, offering viewers worldwide the chance to watch the gala live if they miss out on the limited in-person tickets.
During the event, Cîroc Vodka also officially unveiled celebrated fashion entrepreneur Abryanz, as its Brand Ambassador.
Speaking at the event, Roy Tumwizere, Head of Advocacy at Uganda Breweries, described the renewed partnership as a natural fit between a brand that celebrates bold, modern luxury and a cultural icon who has consistently shaped fashion and lifestyle trends across the continent.
“Abryanz is unapologetically creative, stylish, and constantly pushing culture forward, forward, qualities that sit at the heart of the Cîroc brand. Having partnered with him successfully in the past, we are thrilled to continue this journey. His influence in fashion and entertainment makes him the perfect personality to bring our energy into the ASFA experience,” he said.
This year’s Honorary Gala promises to deliver one of the most refined ASFAs experiences yet. Designed as an intimate, high-value affair for a select audience, the 2025 edition will attract global creatives, industry leaders, celebrities, and cultural tastemakers.
Guests can anticipate world-class showcases, electrifying performances, the revival of Africa’s biggest red carpet, and an atmosphere curated to honour the very best of African excellence.
