Celebrated music producer and talent manager Emmanuel Ssempijja Kusasira Sekyanzi, popularly known as Kuseim, is preparing to say “I do” to his longtime partner Kyokunda Catherine, famously known as Kathy Bae Powerz.

The couple is set to exchange vows today at St. Kalooli Parish in Ggaba, followed by a glamorous reception in Kawuku along Ggaba Road, where family, friends, and key figures from Uganda’s music industry are expected to gather to celebrate their union.

Kuseim, who also manages singer Pia Pounds, says music gave him far more than a career. It gave him the love of his life.

Reflecting on how their paths crossed, he shared the heartwarming story behind their first connection. Three years ago, he was working on Pia Pounds’ romantic single Bitimba. The song struck him deeply, but he never imagined it would also strike a match in his love life.

“I kept playing the song over and over in the studio; little did I know it would bless my life and change it for the better,” he recalled.

“Music has really done a lot for me. I even met my wife through music. This particular lady, who is very beautiful, decided to do a challenge to the song. I watched it and loved it so much. I knew God was telling me something about her.”

The two quickly bonded and love blossomed.

Their relationship became public earlier this year when Kuseim proposed to Kathy during a romantic yacht experience on Lake Victoria, surrounded by their close circle. That magical moment was followed by traditional ceremonies — Kukyala and Kwanjula — all held within the same month.

Now, they are ready to take their next step toward forever.

As the music maestro prepares for his walk down the aisle, fans and fellow creatives are already sending in congratulatory messages, cheering on a love story that proves sometimes the biggest hits in life are written by the heart.
