Social media has erupted in speculation over singer Fille Mutoni’s appearance following her recent musical comeback. Concerns about her health have been circulating online, fueled by her past struggles with drug addiction and her long and highly scrutinised relationship with media personality MC Kats. Some users have gone as far as insinuating that she may be battling HIV, with reckless claims that MC Kats is responsible.
But MC Kats has finally broken his silence, and he is not mincing his words. In a video shared across his social media platforms, the TV presenter lashed out at Ugandans for poking their noses where they do not belong. He said the public has no right to draw conclusions about their private lives.
“Fille is okay,” Kats said firmly. “For the rest, just listen to the music. Everything else is none of your business. You have no idea nor do you understand that a couple can live together without one infecting the other.”
He went on to say that he had gone through the comments being made about them and found many of them painful and disappointing. According to him, the biggest problem with Ugandans is the habit of confidently explaining things they do not truly understand.
Kats also clarified that when they became intimate, Fille already knew his HIV status, dismissing claims that he had put her at any risk. He insisted that their relationship has been built on openness and understanding.
Fille and MC Kats first met in 2013 at the Buzz Teeniez Awards. Shortly after, Fille invited him to Rubaga Miracle Centre, and their relationship blossomed. The two share a daughter, a bond that has endured the turbulence, spotlight and public scrutiny that often come with celebrity life.
