Singer and songwriter Carol Nantongo has taken a major step toward marriage after hosting her fiancé Dylan Ssemwogerere for a beautiful and intimate Kukyala ceremony at her family home in Namugongo.
The colourful celebration held on December 10, 2025 marked the moment Dylan, the son of legendary singer Mesach Ssemakula, was formally welcomed into the Nantongo household. The ceremony paves the way for the couple’s forthcoming introduction ceremony.
Although strictly invite-only, the Kukyala turned into a star-studded affair. Spice Diana, Maureen Nantume, Winnie Nwagi and Pastor Wilson Bugembe were among the notable guests who joined family and close friends in celebrating the couple.
Photos and videos from the day quickly flooded social media, with many fans noting that the Kukyala looked grand enough to pass for a full introduction ceremony.
Carol and Dylan have been together for eight years, building one of the entertainment industry’s most admired relationships. Their vibrant engagement ceremony last month saw Dylan publicly propose, a moment that received the blessing of his father, Mesach Ssemakula.
Carol later took to her socials and wrote, “My best friend came home,” expressing her joy after the successful Kukyala.
