Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi has opened up about a more thoughtful and intentional phase of her life, revealing that age and motherhood have pushed her to focus on smart investments and long-term security.
In a recent interview, the 36-year-old mother of one said she is now at a stage where fun and fame must be balanced with responsibility and planning for the future.
“I am now mature enough. I am growing older and it’s the age to work harder and invest,” Nwagi shared. “My age commands me to do sensible things.”
Known for her energetic performances and chart-topping hits like Musawo, Mataala, and Jangu, Nwagi says her mindset has evolved beyond just making music and enjoying the moment.
While she remains one of Uganda’s most consistent hitmakers, the singer explained that she prefers to keep details of her investments private to avoid unnecessary scrutiny.
“I can never reveal my investments publicly because people then start questioning so many things,” she said. “I’m not ashamed of the businesses I do to earn my extra income. I always share them on my Snapchat, but I choose to keep some things personal.”
Nwagi emphasized that maturity has taught her the importance of saving, investing wisely, and building stability not just for herself, but for her child as well.
“I am mature enough now to save and invest my money wisely,” she added. “I only ask for people’s continued support so that I can achieve more as I grow older.”
Despite the shift in focus, fans can rest assured that the Musawo hitmaker is not slowing down musically. Instead, she says she is simply learning how to grow, glow, and secure her future—quietly and confidently.
