Ugandan singer Uncle Chumi has openly expressed her desire to collaborate with fast-rising songstress Ava Peace, showering praise on both the artist and her management team.
Speaking during an interview on Spark TV, the often-controversial musician revealed that she deeply admires Ava Peace, not just for her music but also for her work ethic and support for fellow artists. Chumi noted that Ava Peace has consistently backed her projects, even participating in video promo challenges whenever she releases new music.
“I love Ava Peace,” Chumi said. “Whenever I release a song, she always does video promo challenges for it. She is a great singer, she looks good, and she is beautiful. I would really love to collaborate with her.”
Chumi went a step further, sending a playful but direct message to Ava Peace’s manager, Jeff Kiwa, whom she described as both a friend and a former crush.
“Please tell your manager I want to collaborate. He is actually my friend, and I used to crush on him,” she said, asking Ava Peace to pass along the message.
The singer also made it clear that she is no longer interested in remixing existing songs, insisting that fresh collaborations are more meaningful and creatively fulfilling.
“I no longer want to remix my songs,” Chumi explained. “It’s always better to collaborate on a new project where each artist delivers their part properly.”
Known for speaking her mind, Chumi said her interest in working with Ava Peace is rooted in mutual respect rather than hype, adding that she believes the two artists could create something special together.
With fans already buzzing about the possibility, it now remains to be seen whether Ava Peace and Jeff Kiwa will take Chumi up on the offer and turn the public admiration into a studio collaboration.
