Dancehall firebrand Karole Kasita is pressing pause on Kampala performances and its all part of a calculated build-up to her highly anticipated Serena Hotel concert this May.

The singer has announced that she will not step on any Kampala stage again before her big night, choosing instead to pour all her energy into making the Serena concert unmissable.

Kasita revealed that the move is both strategic and personal as she wants focus, visibility, and hunger for her return.

According to the artist, media visibility will be one of her biggest weapons. From radio to TV and every platform in between, Kasita plans to stay in the public eye just not on stage.

Instead of performing, Kasita will be out meeting fans face-to-face, rallying support, selling tables and tickets, and personally convincing people why Serena in May is the place to be.

By deliberately withdrawing from the stage, Kasita hopes to create scarcity around her performances, making fans miss her presence and crave the live experience even more.

“I will not do any other show in Kampala until 29th May. My last show will be the Galaxy Awards in February. After that, I’ll be on the ground with my fans, pushing ticket sales and fully focusing on my concert. I want all my energy to go into this,” she said.

As for the venue choice, Kasita explained that Serena Hotel represents a shift. Known for commanding stadium stages, she now wants to cater to her uptown audience and offer a more intimate, premium concert experience.
