A few weeks ago, MC Kats came out and accused the Uganda National Musicians Federation of failing to support singer Fille Mutoni during her time in rehabilitation.
Now, singer Lillian Mbabazi has responded.
In a strongly worded statement, Lillian, speaking on behalf of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, pushed back against the claims, accusing MC Kats of being dishonest about the role the federation played behind the scenes.
“I think that if MC Kats is very honest, he will look within himself and remember everything we have done for Fille,” she said.
According to Lillian, the federation has deliberately kept its support private and does not publicise the assistance it extends to artists.
“We are not the kind of people who go around telling everyone what we have done for someone. The only problem is that Kats has not been honest,” she added.
Addressing MC Kats directly, she called on him to set the record straight.
“Kats, you better call me because you have not been honest. You understand that we have been there, and for you to come and say we have not, that is a lie, bro. In 2026, let us tell the truth.”
Lillian further revealed that UNMF has been actively supporting musicians for nearly two years, backing concerts and running rehabilitation programs through its mental health department.
“We have been supporting musicians for almost two years now. We have supported many concerts for musicians. Through our mental health department, we have rehabilitated many musicians,” she explained.
She dismissed claims that the federation failed to help Fille, insisting that UNMF has empowered numerous artists in meaningful ways.
“Kats claiming that we did not help Fille is not true. We have supported musicians in a way that has empowered them greatly, including myself,” she said.
The exchange has since stirred debate within entertainment circles, with fans now waiting to see whether MC Kats will respond to Lillian’s remarks.
