R&B sensation Craig David will headline the much-anticipated second edition of the World of Sounds concert series, set to take place on August 29, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel Gardens in Kampala.
Dubbed the R&B Edition, this year’s show promises an unforgettable night of soulful melodies, immersive art, and rich cultural expression and will feature some of Uganda’s greatest R&B artists of all time including Kenneth Mugabi, Benon & Vampos, Steve Keys, Irene Ntale, Naava Gray, Juliana Kanyomozi, Unknown Prosper, Laika Music.
The British singer, songwriter, and producer Craig David—renowned for hits like “7 Days”, “Fill Me In”, and “Walking Away”—will perform live for the first time in Uganda, in what is expected to be the biggest musical events of the year.
At the press conference at Noni Vie, Myko Ouma, who is among the brains behind the concept explained that while the first edition offered a more generalized fusion of R&B, Jazz, and other genres, this year’s show is specifically focused on R&B, with future editions slated to explore other musical styles.
George Kagoda, also known as Bushingtone, the concert promoter, elaborated on the broader vision behind the World of Sounds platform. He stated that it was created to address the limitations often found in conventional concerts, where artists are given restricted time slots and pressured to perform only commercially popular music, hindering their artistic expression.
“World of Sounds Season 2: R&B Edition is not just a concert—it’s a celebration of rhythm, soul, and artistic fusion,” added Producer Bushington.
The World of Sounds concert series successfully debuted on October 6, 2023, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
