Ugandan rapper Mun G is gearing up for one of the biggest milestones of his career with the Champions Ball Concert, slated for this Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Known for his witty lyrics and crowd-thrilling performances, Mun G has carved a unique space in Uganda’s music scene. His last performance at Serena during Naava Grey’s concert was so electrifying that many fans left demanding a full Mun G concert. This time, he is returning to the same stage, but as the main act.
Industry giant Fenon Events, led by Steve Jean, will be in charge of the production, ensuring world-class sound and stage design. Steve Jean, who personally encouraged Mun G to stage the concert at Serena, described it as a befitting venue for an artist whose music continues to bridge both uptown and downtown audiences.
At a press briefing held yesterday, Mun G spoke candidly about his musical journey and resilience.
“The secret to my longevity is learning to evolve and loving what I do. Music keeps changing—instrumentation, sound, delivery—and you have to evolve with it,” he said.
Reflecting on his crossover appeal, Mun G explained how his own life experiences have helped him connect with fans from all walks of life.
“I have lived both lives. I come from Masaka to the city and I know how things work. I worked in Owino vending clothes and I studied at Makerere University. That is how I have managed to appeal to all classes of people,” he said.
The Champions Ball Concert promises an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and lifestyle. Mun G will headline alongside Uganda’s music heavyweights Jose Chameleone, Nutty Neithan, Naava Grey, and Big Trill. Fans can expect a thrilling blend of hip hop, dancehall, and Afro-fusion, plus Mun G’s chart-topping anthems such as Bintwala, Fati, Champion, and Sejjusa.
With Serena’s grandeur, Fenon’s production, and Mun G’s unstoppable energy, Saturday’s Champions Ball is set to be more than a concert—it will be a statement of legacy.
