So, the Kyabazinga (king) of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, and his wife, Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi, have added not one but two royal cries to their palace; a set of twin princes; William Ethan Nadiope and Arnold Eli Nadiope. Now, talk about silent movers. Just the other day, the Kyabazinga was making headlines for bagging a degree from an Ivy League university, and now boom twins.
This man is out here ticking life milestones like it is a to-do list. Ivy League graduate? Check. Royal wedding? Check. Twin dad? Double check. But of course, Ugandans being Ugandans, the biggest discussion is not about the joy of the kingdom, no. It’s about how they never saw the Inhebantu with a bump. Like it is Keeping Up with the Nadiope’s.
People, please, not everything needs to be televised. Sometimes minding your own business is also national service. The funniest question flying around now is: “Why is everyone suddenly giving birth to twins? It used to be a big deal, it would need extra supply of mulondo, garlic, cloves, tonics and prayers to the ancestors to hit two birds with one stone but now twins are popping up like city arcades.”
Now peeps want Sciensazzz to land in Uganda small small and explain this cheat code. But whatever the answer, one thing is clear: Busoga just got twice the joy, twice the royalty, and twice the gossip material for Ugandans with too much free time.
