Musician Eddy Kenzo has dismissed claims of a fallout with fellow artist Bebe Cool over their involvement in the ongoing NRM campaign trail, saying the two share no bad blood.
Rumors had suggested that tension arose after Kenzo, who serves as President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), allegedly took over some of Bebe Cool’s responsibilities on the campaign team — something that reportedly did not sit well with the Love You Everyday singer.
However, Kenzo has rubbished the allegations, insisting that there is no conflict between them since they are working toward a common cause.
“People don’t want organized things. They try so hard to sabotage what is organized and exaggerate everything,” Kenzo said in a recent interview. “Why would I have any problem with Bebe? We are on the same team pushing for President Museveni.”
The Sitya Loss star explained that both artists have clearly defined roles within the campaign structure, leaving no room for overlap or conflict.
“Bebe Cool is responsible for coordinating all artists who are supposed to perform on the campaign trail, while my role as UNMF president is to ensure that the music sector, which I represent, gets equal opportunities,” he clarified.
Kenzo added that he merely suggested to the campaign secretariat that regional artists also be included in the program since they are key stakeholders in the industry — emphasizing that his input was advisory, not competitive.
“It was just a suggestion. I only wanted regional artists to also be recognized because they are part of the industry,” he said.
Kenzo’s remarks come as both artists continue to play visible roles in the campaign trail, representing Uganda’s entertainment industry under the ruling party’s umbrella.
