Sunday afternoon at Baoli Restaurant was a journey around the world, plated and poured to perfection. For the October edition of Baoli Sundays, Kampala’s top brunch destination teamed up with Don Julio Tequila to curate a multi-cuisine experience that blended elegance, fine taste, and global flair.
Guests stepped into Baoli’s sun-drenched interiors where polished marble gleamed under soft sunlight, laughter intertwined with clinking cutlery, and every table promised something new. The ambiance exuded calm sophistication, setting the stage for a brunch that was equal parts indulgence and artistry.
The culinary offering took guests across continents. Starters such as avocado caprese, Baoli coconut prawns, and calamari led into an array of main courses that spanned the globe — Japanese sushi, Italian tagliatelle alla bolognese, Indian fish masala curry, Ugandan Nile perch and grilled tilapia. Desserts, including a Thai beef salad and French Niçoise salad, offered a refreshing finale to a globally inspired meal.
Don Julio Tequila elevated the afternoon, with its premium range expertly paired with the menu. Signature cocktails celebrated the spirit’s craftsmanship, from the bright freshness of the Blanco to the gentle warmth of the Reposado, the deep richness of the Añejo, and the smooth sophistication of Don Julio 1942. Every sip mirrored the brand’s legacy of quality and authenticity.
Music, a vital ingredient in Baoli’s recipe for celebration, carried the mood from daytime delight to evening rhythm. DJ Lil Stunner (Sheila Gashumba), The City Girl UG, and DJ Anselm curated a seamless soundtrack that moved from mellow house beats to Afrobeats and dancehall, perfectly syncing with the rise of laughter and the clinking of glasses.
“We are proud to partner with Baoli, one of the premium celebration points in Kampala,” said Judie Nandekya, Senior Brand Manager, Tequila and Rum East Africa. “Don Julio is about craftsmanship, heritage, and premium celebration. This edition of Baoli Sundays brought those values to life, showing our guests that luxury tequila is best enjoyed with intention and artistry.”
Sandeep Bugatha, General Manager of Baoli Restaurant, echoed the sentiment, noting that Baoli Sundays have become the ultimate way to close the month in style. “Our partnership with Don Julio Tequila allowed us to deliver an unforgettable experience for our guests as we bid farewell to October. It was about creating a moment that lingers.”
As the sun dipped behind the terrace and the final glasses were raised, Baoli once again proved that Baoli Sundays are more than just brunch. They are a celebration of taste, craftsmanship, and the joy of coming together in style.
