The rumor mill has been busy this week, with whispers that B2C Entertainment had fired their long-time manager Enock and were on the brink of a split after failing to agree on financial and personal matters.
Word on the street suggested that the trio had grown tired of sharing their earnings, with each member reportedly contemplating launching a solo career.
Adding more fuel to the fire were claims that Mr Lee’s relationship with Agnes Kirabo Nantongo, an NRM politician, had created tension within the group. It was said that the other members felt cornered, given that they had allegedly agreed to steer clear of politics altogether.
However, Mr Lee has dismissed all the talk as baseless.
“I don’t know where it came from. I was also shocked by the rumors on the internet. The truth is we do not have any problem; our relationship is beyond money. We are brothers and nothing can separate us,” Mr Lee emphasized.
The B2C (Born To Conquer) trio — made up of Delivad Julio (real name Kasagga Julius), Mr Lee (real name Mugisha Richard), and Bobby Lash (real name Ssali Peterson) — burst onto the Ugandan music scene in 2016 and quickly became household names.
Over the past decade, they have delivered some of Uganda’s most loved hits, including Munda Awo, Gutamiiza, Gutujja, Yoola, Gwe Weka, Party, and So Fly, among others.
Despite the recent online chatter, it seems the group remains united and focused on their craft — proving once again that not every rumor deserves an audience.
