After recently revealing that he was among the founders of the People Power movement, singer Eddy Kenzo has dropped yet another bombshell — claiming he played a crucial role in launching rapper Gravity Omutujju’s career.
The Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives made the remarks while addressing his ongoing fallout with Gravity, insisting that the public is being fed an incomplete narrative.
“They tried to use Gravity Omutujju to fight me, forgetting that I’m the one who introduced him to the music industry,” Kenzo said. “We entered the studio together for his breakthrough track, the remix of Paul Kafeero’s Walumbe Zaa’ya.”
According to Kenzo, his contribution went beyond simple mentorship. He says he funded Gravity’s first studio session, opened doors within the industry, and provided the platform that helped catapult the rapper to mainstream attention.
As for the alleged beef, Kenzo insists he harbors no grudge. Instead, he believes the tension is being engineered by individuals within the entertainment ecosystem — particularly bloggers and TikTok creators who often thrive on magnifying conflict for engagement.
Kenzo maintains that despite the noise, he wishes Gravity well and hopes the public understands the full history before taking sides.
