Media personality Sasha Ferguson has stirred conversation online after sharing a deeply personal and emotional account of her past struggles, including domestic abuse, motherhood, and her journey toward healing.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Sasha revealed that she once endured a painful period marked by physical violence, emotional turmoil, and the pressure to hide the truth from the public even while she was heavily pregnant.
“There are days I will never forget,” she wrote, recalling moments when she had to cover bruises with makeup and use eye drops to hide bloodshot eyes. “My prayers go out to all women tied down to any form of abuse. Know that God is in control and may He give you the courage to navigate through it.”
Sasha explained that much of her healing has come from choosing peace and walking away from situations that threatened her wellbeing and that of her children.
She went on to describe the loneliness, judgment, and constant blame she faced, saying she was often portrayed as the “villain” while silently fighting to protect her children. Despite the pain, she said she made a conscious decision to rebuild her life and focus on raising her children in a healthier environment.
In one of the strongest messages from her posts, Sasha appealed to the public to stop bringing up the father of her children whenever she shares content online.
“To those who keep mentioning the father of my children, I request that you stop in order to make my parenting and healing easier,” she said. “We are on different life journeys, and I ask that to be respected.”
She urged followers not to judge him, emphasizing that “no one is a saint from heaven.”
Sasha concluded by reaffirming her commitment to playing both parental roles where necessary and doing her best to ensure her children grow up in a peaceful, loving environment.
Sasha Ferguson was previously married to NBS TV news anchor Canary Mugume, with whom she shares two children. Their relationship once one of Uganda’s most talked-about celebrity unions has long been the subject of public interest.
