Northern Uganda is set to make entertainment history this December with the grand opening of a state-of-the-art cinema, the first and only movie theatre located north of the Karuma Bridge.
The new establishment, set inside the popular LA Confidential Hotel, marks a major milestone for the region’s entertainment and hospitality sector. The hotel is owned by State Minister for Trade, Hon. Evelyn Anite, who is also spearheading the project.
The launch is expected to attract high-profile guests from across the region. Music legend Jose Chameleone has been confirmed as the guest of honour, while dignitaries from South Sudan, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, and several prominent figures from northern Uganda are also expected to attend.
According to organisers, the new cinema will not only bring top-tier entertainment closer to communities in northern Uganda but also position the region as an emerging hub for commercial and leisure investment.
The grand opening ceremony will feature tours, performances and a showcase of the cinema’s modern features, promising a memorable day for both invited guests and the local community.
