Cindy Sanyu has applauded fellow singer Sheebah Karungi for building a house for her mother, describing the gesture as one of the most meaningful acts a child can ever offer a parent. Speaking during an interview, Cindy said she deeply understands the joy behind such a gift because she experienced it herself when she built a home for her own mother.

She said the moment she completed her mother’s house remains one of the happiest chapters of her life. For Cindy, the fulfilment comes not from the structure itself but from witnessing a parent finally step into a life free from rent worries and the instability that shadows years of struggle. She explained that giving her mother a place to call her own made her even happier than it made her mother, because she had lived long enough to understand the sacrifices behind every brick.

Reflecting on Sheebah’s accomplishment, Cindy said she felt genuine excitement for her. She uploaded her as a daughter who has rewritten her mother’s story. She however said her biggest joy is for Sheebah’s mother, who can now live in comfort after enduring hardships that many families silently carry.

A few weeks ago, Sheebah unveiled a newly built house for her mother in Mityana, a milestone she described as a personal victory born from years of pain and resilience. During the unveiling, Sheebah opened up about one of her most painful childhood memories. She recalled being only five years old when her mother was evicted from their home over unpaid rent of just eight thousand shillings. She said the fear and humiliation of that day has never left her and became the driving force behind her determination to rise and secure a better life for her family.
