Media personality and former House of Prayer Ministries loyalist, Bina Babie, has revealed the real reasons behind her decision to walk away from Pastor Aloysius Bugingo and completely cut him off from her life.
Bina Babie, real name Robina Mbabazi Mulera, says she was once one of Bugingo’s most outspoken defenders, fighting online battles for him without hesitation.
“I quarrelled with everyone who talked ill about him, whether they were right or wrong,” she said in an interview on Dembe FM.
However, what began as loyalty eventually turned into a draining emotional burden. Bina says she constantly found herself entangled in the pastor’s conflicts, even after church services.
“I felt like I was fighting his battles, yet I am not the one supposed to fight his wars. I reached a point where I couldn’t handle it anymore,” she explained.
The moment that triggered her exit was Bugingo’s public attacks on his ex-wife, Teddy, long after their split. Bina says the pastor had assured her that he was happy in his new relationship, but his actions said otherwise.
“I wondered why he continued provoking her yet he had moved on. I continued praying, but I no longer felt the spirit in that church.”
Rumours also began circulating that she left out of jealousy or romantic involvement with the pastor, speculation she strongly dismisses.
Bina says leaving was not easy, especially after being so rooted in the church community. She eventually settled at All Saints Cathedral where she says she has since found peace of mind.
To completely detach herself, she blocked Bugingo and anything related to him across all social media platforms.
Even then, Bina says she hasn’t deleted his number entirely.
“If he returns to the right track and stops attacking fellow pastors, maybe things can change,” she said.
For now, the celebrated radio personality says she is focused on her spiritual healing and living life without battles that are not hers to fight.
