MultiChoice Uganda walked away with three accolades at the 9th Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) Excellence Awards held at Protea Hotel Kampala, including the top honour for Best Event and Experiential Campaign for their MultiChoice at 30 celebration.
The awards, staged under the theme “Recognizing Innovation and Impact in Public Relations,” brought together leaders in communications, media, marketing, and government to celebrate standout PR achievements across the country.
MultiChoice’s winning campaign stood out for its storytelling approach that highlighted the brand’s 30-year journey in Uganda, blending heritage, customer appreciation, and innovation in a memorable experience. The team also registered strong performances with two runner-up awards in Best Internal Communications Campaign and Best CSR & ESG Campaign categories.
Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, said the recognition reinforces the team’s commitment to impactful communication.
“Every campaign demanded precision, creativity and focus,” Jamugisa noted. “We exist to enrich lives and will continue empowering local storytellers while delivering experiences that add value to our audiences.”
He further encouraged upcoming industry professionals to stay bold and consistent, adding, “Great ideas grow when you keep sharpening them.”
PRAU President Irene Nakasiita applauded winners for raising the bar in communication excellence:
“This year’s honorees have redefined what is possible in our profession through creative concepts that demonstrate the power of strategic communication.”
The ceremony also honoured 13 other winners across media relations, crisis communication, CSR, digital innovation and corporate communication categories, including a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Sarah Kagingo for her significant contribution to Uganda’s PR industry.
