In Uganda, December is the closest thing to summer sun-soaked weekends, endless parties, and a nightlife calendar stacked with back-to-back events. And on Sunday evening, Mediterraneo Restaurant’s rooftop was right at the center of it all.
The after-party to the Limoncello Brunch, hosted by Don Julio and headlined by brand influencer Sheila Gashumba, embraced a sleek Dolce & Gabbana theme that set the tone for the night. It attracted a mix of brunch loyalists and partygoers who came strictly for that premium Ibiza-inspired rave.
DJs Sydii Gonzales, Carlos, AJ, Focus and MC Pauma staged a seamless transition from fine dining elegance to full-blown nightlife thrill. A captivating theatrical showcase by Party Central 256 complete with tribal Asian-inspired costumes, bold masks and slow-motion choreography elevated the event with a taste of dramatic flair.
But once the DJs locked in, the rooftop transformed. Neon lighting, pulsing beams and a dynamic sunset visual display washed over the venue, igniting the party atmosphere. With DJ Spinny and DJ Sydii taking turns on the decks, revelers danced, cheered and belted out anthems only pausing to marvel at fireworks that momentarily lit up the Kololo skyline.
Signature cocktails flowed generously, from Palomas and Margaritas to bespoke mixes paired with Don Julio’s finest offerings 1942, Blanco, Añejo and Reposado all reinforcing the brand’s premium imprint on Kampala’s festive season.
“At the Limoncello after-party, we wanted to deliver a premium experience that would kick off December enjoyments in full,” said Judie Nandekya, Senior Brand Manager, Tequila and Rum East Africa. “As Don Julio, we are always delighted to deliver such premium experiences to our consumers, and we promise to always deliver.”
As the night stretched toward dawn, DJ Sydii Gonzales closed with an electrifying fusion of Afro House, Amapiano, Lingala and Rhumba, ensuring no one left the dancefloor untouched by the groove. By the end of it all, guests were exhausted but blissfully so after a night that set the tone for a lively Detty December ahead.
