Dancehall artist King Michael has dismissed rumours that socialite Bryan White is currently behind bars, revealing instead that he is admitted in hospital and steadily recovering.

According to King Michael, real name Mugwanya Michael, an understanding was reached that Bryan White would be allowed to regain full health before the hearing of his case resumes.

“He is recovering well. He’s in hospital and showing signs of improvement. It was agreed that his case would continue after he fully recovers, and that is something we all wanted,” King Michael said in an interview.

While he declined to disclose the specific hospital, King Michael assured the public that Bryan White is receiving top-tier medical care. He added that he personally visited him, as did fellow musician Pallaso.

Bryan White is facing seven charges including Human Sacrifice and Manslaughter, related to the death of 25-year-old Carol Nalubwama, who was burnt at his Munyonyo residence.

He first appeared before Makindye Court in November and was initially remanded to Luzira Prison until December 18th.

However, during that first appearance, the court observed that his health condition was serious and ordered his return to hospital for treatment. After about a week of medical care, he was discharged and presented again before court.

The magistrate then remanded him to Luzira Upper Prison but instructed prison authorities to continue administering the medication and treatment prescribed by the hospital.
