Instead of wrapping boxes or envelopes, the popular deejay pulled off a surprise few could top. He invited Bebe Cool to personally visit his mother.

When the Love You Everyday hit maker walked in, Mrs Kirabira was visibly overwhelmed. Shock quickly turned into excitement as she struggled to believe that her favourite musician was standing right there in her home on Christmas Day. Words were hardly necessary. The warm hugs, wide smiles, and a spontaneous little dance to Fire Anthem said it all. Her Christmas had been perfectly sorted.

Although details of their conversation remained private, the joy in the room was unmistakable. It was one of those simple but powerful moments where music, family, and gratitude met.

Bebe Cool and DJ SlickStuart’s friendship goes back years. The bond has extended beyond music and into real-life gestures. At Sky Lounge, Bebe once surprised SlickStuart with an iPhone X after the DJ jokingly asked for one.

“Slick was lucky to ask in person. Enjoy your new iPhone X, Slick,” Bebe Cool posted at the time.

Their relationship has also produced music. The two collaborated on Nyimbira, alongside Roja and Daddy Andre, a song that further cemented their creative chemistry.
