Renowned Ugandan rapper Fik Fameica is mourning the loss of his mother, who passed away this morning after a period of illness.
According to information shared with fans, Fameica’s mother had been battling health complications for several months and had been frequently visiting medical facilities as her condition fluctuated. A few days ago, her health took a worrying turn and she was rushed to Kibuli Muslim Hospital, where she had been receiving specialised medical care.
Despite doctors’ efforts, her condition continued to deteriorate. Fameica later informed his supporters that the situation had become alarming, appealing to fans and well-wishers to keep his mother in their prayers.
Following confirmation of her passing, several artistes and close friends rallied around the rapper. Dancehall singer Karole Kasita was among those who visited Kibuli Muslim Hospital to offer comfort and solidarity during the difficult moment.
Fellow artistes and fans have taken to social media to express their condolences, sending messages of strength, love and support to Fameica and his family as they grieve the loss.
Details regarding burial arrangements are yet to be communicated.
