Over the weekend, socialite Bad Black, born Shanita Namuyimbwa, took a significant step in her love journey as she sealed a seven year relationship with a vibrant customary Kukyala ceremony alongside her fiancé, Asha Panda.
The colourful celebration was held at Akii Bua Road in Nakasero and brought together close friends, family, and workmates in an atmosphere rich with tradition, joy, and glamour.
The ceremony attracted an impressive lineup of notable figures from Uganda’s entertainment and religious circles. Among those in attendance were Abryanz, Maureen Nantume, Pastors Aloysius Bugingo and Wilson Bugembe, Lil Pazo, Bruno K, Lydia Jazmine, Sheebah Karungi, Winnie Nwagi, and Sam Bagenda, popularly known as Dr Bosa, among many others.
Guests were treated to a lively cultural experience marked by music, dance, and heartfelt moments as the couple officially began their journey toward marriage.
The Kukyala ceremony marks the first formal step toward the couple’s wedding, which is slated for February 14, 2026.
