YouTuber and outspoken media personality Isaac Katende, popularly known as Kasuku, finally ticked off a long held dream on Sunday when he came face to face with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Kasuku was a panellist at an interactive live podcast dubbed Jazz with Jajja, held at State House Nakasero and moderated by the President’s daughter, Natasha Karugire.
The highly anticipated session attracted more than 200,000 online viewers and largely centred on issues affecting the younger generation, making it one of the most talked about digital engagements of the week.
However, shortly after the event, Kasuku shifted the conversation from policy and youth matters to food.
A day after the meeting, the former Dembe FM presenter took to his platforms to share his behind the scenes experience, with particular focus on the breakfast served at State House.
While he acknowledged that the food was decent, Kasuku admitted it did not live up to the hype he had grown up hearing.
“Breakfast isn’t that good like we’ve always been told,” Kasuku said. “We were told it’s like that of Serena Hotel, but what they served was more like a workshop breakfast. We honestly expected a whole line up of different delicacies.”
Before the visit, Kasuku had openly joked that if he ever got the chance to meet the President, he would “milk” the moment and walk away with no less than Shs 300 million.
That plan, however, hit a dead end during the interaction when President Museveni made it clear that giving out money in such a setting would be inappropriate, noting that it could easily be interpreted as a bribe.
