Celebrated Ugandan comedian Dr Hillary Okello has officially tied the knot with his long-time partner, Doreen Akolebirungi, in a beautiful and love-filled ceremony held over the weekend.

The wedding marked the climax of a series of joyful pre-marital events, including a colourful traditional introduction and an engagement ceremony that brought together family and friends from both sides.

Dr Okello and Doreen exchanged vows at Uganda Martyrs Church Namugongo in the presence of close family members, friends and well-wishers who gathered to witness the couple seal their union before God. The atmosphere inside the church was nothing short of magical, filled with prayers, laughter and heartfelt moments.

True to the groom’s profession, the ceremony attracted several familiar faces from the comedy industry. Fellow comedians, including Patrick Salvador Idringi and Uncle Mark, were among those in attendance, adding warmth and cheer to the occasion.

Following the church service, guests were ushered to a lively wedding reception where celebrations continued in full swing. The couple treated their guests to a lavish feast, uplifting speeches and music, creating moments of shared joy that reflected the deep bond they share.

The newlyweds were showered with love, prayers, gifts and warm words of encouragement from their loved ones as they embarked on their new journey together.

Dr Hillary Okello now joins fellow comedians such as Ronnie Mcvex, Patrick Salvador, Uncle Mark, Emeka, Richard Tuwangye and Hannington Bugingo who have taken the milestone step of marriage.
